Skip Besthoff has an investment focus in Internet commerce, digital media and software. He has a keen interest in the convergence of consumer and enterprise business models.
Prior to Castile, Mr. Besthoff was a principal at Rho Ventures where in eight years he developed a strong record of investing in and participating on the boards of market-transforming software, Internet and digital media companies including Everdream (acquired by Dell) and IntraLinks (acquired by TA/Rho). He currently serves on the boards of Enquisite and Health Guru.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Besthoff spent five years as a manager for Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). In this position he led large-scale systems development and integration projects for Fortune 500 companies. He also participated in building the SAP line of business.
Mr. Besthoff is a Venture Advisor to Cornell’s Entrepreneurship Program and is active in both regional and industry associations focused on emerging technologies and entrepreneurs. He is also a regular speaker at his alma maters, Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council, MIT, The Funding Post, and The Technology Capital Network.
Mr. Besthoff is a graduate of Hamilton College with a BA in Economics. He received his MBA with honors from Cornell University where he was awarded the distinguished Alfred Fried Fellowship.
