Investment Criteria

We invest in early-stage enterprises from company formation through product development to initial market expansion. We look for companies that promise to build substantial value, as indicated by the following criteria:

• Core leadership and vision from one or more individuals with exceptional credentials
• Potential for sustainable differentiation
• The vision to deliver a breakthrough solution that addresses a burning pain point or presents a compelling opportunity
• Potential for market leadership in a sizable and growing market in three to five years
• The potential to become a public company or attractive acquisition candidate within a three to seven year period

Seed investments

In the case of very early-stage companies with exceptional but incomplete teams, we will make seed investments to help the founders meet the prerequisites for a full funding round, including completing the management team, and building product, market-entry and business plans that fully leverage the value inherent in the founders' intellectual property.

Industry segments

We invest in entrepreneurs building companies serving the technology needs of enterprises, service providers and the mass market.

Geography

We invest in companies that are entirely or predominantly located in the US and Canada.
