Laura Ring focuses on the firm's interactions with the entrepreneurial, business, and investment communities. She also manages Castile's strategic communications initiatives and its external relations including connections with the business and community press, and entrepreneurial and industry associations and organizations. Ms. Ring assists developing portfolio companies with their marketing and outreach.
Ms. Ring is a seasoned executive with a track record of increasing the recognition of organizations -- particularly those focused on high tech and financial services. Prior to her most recent years in the non-profit industry, she served as the Executive Director of Massachusetts Networks Communications Council, the Association for Corporate Growth, and The Application Service Provider Industry Consortium (now Comptia).
Ms. Ring also co-founded an entrepreneurial venture which was the first on-line broker of services to growing companies. Earlier in her career she launched and served as the Director of the High Tech Services Group at Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers), where she advised early-stage high tech companies on financing strategies, business operations, team formation, capital foundation and marketing concepts. She was also a financial analyst for Digital Equipment Corporation.
Ms. Ring holds an MS (MBA) in Management with a concentration in Operations and Finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management and a BS in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire.
Ms. Ring is an active member on the MIT Enterprise Forum Start-up Committee and the MassNetComms Programs Committee. Additionally, she is on the boards of the New England Technology Foundation and the International Institute of Boston.
