Chris Dahl, Esq., assists Castile with legal matters related to prospective and current investments.
Mr. Dahl is also the founder and Managing Director of Dahl Legal Counsel, an independent legal services firm representing emerging businesses principally in the software, Internet, and telecommunications areas, and venture capital and other investors with capital formation and portfolio investments. Prior to founding Dahl Legal Counsel in 2004, he practiced in leading law firms for 18 years, including the firms Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, Stroock & Stroock & Lavan, and most recently as a partner at Gesmer Updegrove.
Mr. Dahl has extensive experience with the critical legal issues early-stage companies encounter, with particular expertise in the areas of organizational structure, financings, intellectual property development, protection and licensing, product development and distribution issues, executive and equity compensation, and corporate transactions including mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
Mr. Dahl is a past Chairman of the Business Law Section of the Massachusetts Bar Association (MBA) and Chairman of the High Tech Section of the MBA. He is currently a member of the American Bar Association's Private Equity and Venture Capital Committee, served several years on the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council’s Planning Committee for its Legal Issues Series and has been named a Massachusetts Super Lawyer. Mr. Dahl is a graduate of Ithaca College and Northeastern University School of Law, and has completed advanced programs for attorneys at Harvard University Law School.
