North End Technologies launches with seed financing from Castile Ventures

 

Partnership enables company to pursue innovations in next generation multi-media technologies

Nashua, NH, September 6, 2007 - North End Technologies today announced a partnership with Castile Ventures to pursue some ground-breaking innovations in next-generation multi-media technologies. Castile has provided seed financing to fund the first steps towards the company's vision, and expects to participate in future financings as the business develops. Castile founder and partner Nina Saberi has joined the Board of Directors.

The company's founders, Grinnell More, Tim Root and Tom Ryden, formed North End to create a completely new category of multi-media solution that will facilitate new modes of multi-media experience. The founders will leverage their combined backgrounds in communications, automation and internet solutions, and draw on their successful track records in developing cutting edge solutions for early-stage markets with companies such as Exeter Analytical, iRobot, PictureTel, PolyCom, and Real World Interface. The company expects to operate in stealth mode until it is ready to unveil its prototype.

Castile venture advisor Mark Ain has also joined the Board of Directors. As founder, long-time CEO, and current executive chairman of leading software company Kronos, Ain has deep operational experience and a successful track in navigating the challenges faced by a growing technology company.
